Michael Wilson joins Microsoft
I worked on Michael’s team way back at the begining of time, circa 1995. We were building a voice mail system for Octel (now Avaya, via Lucent). It was built on Microsoft NT and used Exchange as its Directory and Message store. It was Exchange 5.5 at the time. Anyway, it was a very cool project, and a very cool team, and Michael was a very cool boss.
He’s in Redmond now, working on Exchange 12. I wonder what on earth he might be building for them…
